🛡️ Quality Control Process ( NADCAP / AS9100 / ISO 9001 Compliance)
1️⃣Raw Material Control
Key Control Points (KCP): Material Traceability / Certificate of Conformance
- All raw materials (stainless steel, titanium alloys, superalloys) are sourced from approved suppliers listed in the ASL (Approved Supplier List).
- Each batch must be accompanied by a Mill Test Report (MTR) with clear heat number traceability.
- Critical materials conform to AMS standards, such as AMS 5662 for Inconel 718, AMS 4928 for Ti-6Al-4V.
- Incoming inspection includes material verification and sampling re-tests for chemical and mechanical properties.(If Applicable)
2️⃣ Process Control
KCP: Process Validation / Work Instruction / Special Process Control
- All operations are conducted under validated Process Flow Charts (PFC) and documented Work Instructions (WI).
- Toolpaths are verified through simulation software (e.g., Mastercam, NX) before execution.
- Special processes (welding, heat treatment, surface treatment) are outsourced to NADCAP-accredited suppliers, and each process has a qualification record.
3️⃣ First Article & In-Process Inspection
KCP: FAI per AS9102 / In-Process Control Plan
- First Article Inspection (FAI) is performed according to AS9102 Rev. B, covering all drawing and specification dimensions.
- In-process inspections include Statistical Process Control (SPC) on CTQs (Critical To Quality features).
- All measuring equipment (calipers, CMMs, microscopes) are calibrated and traceable to national standards, with dedicated IDs.
4️⃣ Functional & Performance Testing
KCP: Test Plan / Functional Qualification / Acceptance Criteria
- Atomization testing is performed using laser diffraction to measure droplet size distribution and spray uniformity.
- Flow rate and spray angle testing is conducted on each production batch to meet design specifications.
- A formal Test Record is maintained for each nozzle, documenting results against pre-defined acceptance criteria.
5️⃣ Special Process Management (If Applicable)
KCP: NADCAP Accreditation / Process Certification
- If required (e.g., for welding or thermal coating), all special processes are handled by NADCAP-certified partners.
- Each special process step is documented with a Process Approval Record, and certified operators are assigned with valid qualifications.
6️⃣ Final Inspection
KCP: Dimensional Inspection / Surface Quality / Conformance Documentation
- A full dimensional inspection is conducted using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
- Surface roughness is checked to ensure Ra ≤ 0.8; nozzle holes and weld seams are inspected visually and optically.
- A Certificate of Conformance (COC) and Final Inspection Checklist are completed before shipment.
7️⃣ Documentation & Traceability
KCP: Document Control / Lot Traceability / Data Retention
- Each nozzle is traceable with a unique serial number and complete Process Router + QC Reports + Test Records + Material Certificates.
- All quality records are retained for a minimum of 10 years, in accordance with AS9100 Clause 7.5 on documented information.
- Upon request, a full Quality Assurance Package (QAP) is provided, including FAI, SPC charts, and test results.
